Yesterday was my goodbye to summer (I’m late, so sue me). For some strange reason, I felt my ensemble reminded me of Malibu Barbie. lol Georgia weather is crazy; as usual this time of year. Cool one day, and hot the next. My mind is on layer mode, but it has still been too warm, and humid to go full blown fall wear.  However, I spent the day how I like to spend my off days: up early, business handled, pamper time (ie mani/pedi), shopping, and hanging with some of my favorite people.

Took advantage of Missoni being at Target & Mango at JcPenny. Picked up some nice pieces. I’m excited!

I have a long weekend ahead, but I hope everyone has had an awesome week thus far.

Happy hump day!

My sister’s friend, Lauren was the picture snapper for the day, so she is the ONLY reason I even have a picture from Thanksgiving. We had to make a stop at the gas station, so Lauren decided it was a perfect photo opp. I was kind of out of the picture taking mood by the time we left the house (which is why I’m just now putting up anything), because I had to make a last minute wardrobe change…but that’s life. I got over it, of course.

So, I had to go to court today for a speeding ticket. Not happy about it, but its life. So I had my Dad snap a picture or two before I left. Figured something productive should come out of today since  I had to miss work. I bought these high wasted slacks from Lane Bryant a few months back, and absolutely love them. I was very surprised to find something in there that actually fit! Everything is so ill proportioned there. Moving on. Decided to pair them with my favorite tee from Express, and my new cardi from Targert. I hope you all had a wonderful Monday!

I received a phone call for an invitation to an event at The Limited so my Dad was still snapping pics.

Sunday, my sis-in-law held an event to celebrate PampHer’s one year anniversary. It was held at Midcity Cafe…a very city chic hang out spot I’ve grown to be fond of. Decided to call the day’s wardrobe theme  “End of the Summer”- pack it away or give it away. So I chose this lavender dress and crochet mules to give me what I call, Sunday Delight. I have always loved these mules for their quirky, yet feminine flair. If you haven’t noticed, I have a new favorite piece. I picked up this gold necklace in JcPenny for little or nothing. Wasn’t going to get it, because I told myself I didn’t need it, but little did I know that I did. Paired with the day’s ensemble for my lady-like touch. The event went well, and I am so proud of Akuba, and her dedication. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. I have a long one ahead of me, but I’ll be back very soon….I have a movie premier to attend Monday evening. So TTYS

I spent my Saturday out, and about with one of my besties. She had errands to run, and wanted to take me to meet a friend of hers that owns a boutique. There were quite a few pieces I plan to go back for, so I will disclose more info at a later date. Although the sun was shinning bright, and the Georgia temperatures were high, I opted for all blue. I didn’t get to use my cardigan, but I grabbed it in case the evening brought a little wind. All in all, my Saturday was like I like them….out of the house with some of my favorite people (went out with my other bestie later that night) with nothing but life to live. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

SATC 2 Hollywood Premiere

Last night I had the pleasure of attending “The Glam Squad Remixx” a Sex in the City 2 VIP premiere; sponsored by Liquid Soul Media, BET Beauty Lounge, and Honey Magazine. It was a fashionable evening filled with food, cocktails, and a cute little gift bag filled with film paraphernalia. It truly was an awesome movie. I love the life stories of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda; but I have always been in love with the goosebumps and  butterflies I get from Patricia Field’s genius work. Some have expressed that they were not impressed by the films fashions, but everyone has their own opinion, right? Well, the ladies looked stunning on the red carpet Monday evening for their premiere- Sara Jessica Parker in Valentino, Kim Cattrall in Naeem Khan, Kristen Davis in a vintage Jean Desses, and Cynthia Nixon in Carolina Herrera. I hope you all will go and support the film and come back to chat about it with me. The night was fast paced, but I was able to get a couple of shots of my attire. I would apologize for not always knowing where my pieces come from, but I’m not! I enjoy venturing into other’s closets and seeing the treasures I may find. So, send me pictures of what you wear to see the film and I will post them! Have a wonderful week everyone!

"I am Samantha" VIP wristband. This was such a cute idea. We had to wear these to have access into the movie and for the mixer.

The cutest gift bags.
