Another beautiful day in Atlanta while I ran around for a bit, with my besties, looking for DIY materials. Georgia weather can be very tricky. The sun can shine high and bright, then disappear like it was never out. So dressing during the spring months can be a little challenging. However, I do like spring, because I enjoy layering. I sneak into my parent’s closet very often, to see what I can incorporate into my wardrobe; or my ensemble for the day. My bestie says I’m lucky I have the ability to borrow (most times have) pieces from my parents…I couldn’t agree more ;0)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

A little over a month ago, I fell in love. In love with a pair of boots I had been dreaming and obsessing over all winter. A boot I could wear everyday, if I pleased, and wear with anything. I had searched high and low and even bought a pair of really cute boots from Steve Madden, but their sizing scale ruined it for me. One day on an outing while browsing through Macy’s I spotted them! Rugged in the most feminine way with classic style. The DKNY Melina boot was starring at me, waiting for me to love her. I knew that I loved this boot, but it wasn’t until the other day that I realized they were a part of me… I can count the days we have been apart. I hope you all had a shoe this winter that you loved…or still looking for. Don’t feel bad about still looking. Many places are having great deals on boots right now.

The pics below are nothing worthy. Just some quick out of town shots a week ago. Out of town w/ fewer clothes than your stay= borrowing. Was on my way to grab a bite. Hope everyone is enjoying warmer weather wherever you are.

As I have mentioned before, I am working on quite a few different projects and task. So, meet Jibri. A chic and feminine plus size label based out of Atlanta. I had the pleasure of being an assistant styler for Jasmine Elder, the designer, during the photo shoot for her spring collection. I had previously worked with her in gathering ideas for the concept of the shoot, and got to see the pieces when they were fresh from under the sewing machine. I adored them then, and love them even more now that they have been brought to life. I hope you all enjoy.

Last night’s 82nd Annual Academy Awards red carpet was filled with gorgeous women in some of the most glamorous gowns. Honestly, I don’t know if I have a favorite, or even 2 for that matter. Hollywood’s elite pulled out all the stops last night, and it paid off well. There were a plethora of strapless gowns, accompanied by asymmetrical and embellished shoulder gowns. The color pallet ranged from hues of blue, to golden beauty, with  a splash of dazzling crimson glory. I have found a few looks for less that you can gather for a night on the town, a special occasion, and even prom (for my younger lovelies).

I wonder who Rachel Zoe styled. I ask this, because I know she styles Cameron Diaz and Anne Hathaway (who was MIA, and oh so missed…I love her red carpet beauty). Zoe is set to air a new season of her show, so I’m excited to see if the Oscars will make any of the season’s episodes. Below are my finds that I felt were fabulous for one reason or another. Let me know who your favorites were.

Browsing around the web and stumbled across these beauties. A vintage pair of nude encrusted slingbacks from the 80s. If only I could wear a 6.5…I could only dream. They are darling. I would pair them with a dress, skirt, or pant. Basically, you wouldn’t be able to get me out of them. So, if this find intrigues you, journey on over to Nasty Gal and grab them up. There are also some other nice pairs of vintage finds you might like. Take a look! If anyone indulges, email me pics.

It’s Friday. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I feel horrible that I promised at the beginning of the new year that I was going to be better about posting. However, there has been so much on my brain. Working on getting businesses up and running, and trying to gain a grasp on exactly where I want to take Blue Jean Clouds. Being a college grad with hardly a sense of where I should be, or what I should be doing is rough. Well, enough of that.

For all you polish lovers, OPI (my fav) has introduced a spring line based on Disney’s Alice and Wonderland (which I am psyched to see). I have got to have the “Mad as a Hatter” shade. Its fabulous. Plus, I don’t own anything like it. Let me know what shade you can’t wait to have, or if you want them all ;0)
